How do I record my activities?

How do I record a Move More at the Gym, Forever Cycling, Wycombe Wanderers Wellbeing Walk and Walking Football?

When you are at the activity in person make sure you visit the Menu ☰ in the top left of your BetterPoints app, select More ways to earn and select the relevant activity to receive the BetterPoints.

How has the challenge been funded?

The  challenge has been funded by Buckinghamshire Council.

What is the difference between BetterPoints and BetterTickets?

BetterPoints are a financially backed currency that you can earn by recording your activities - over time these add up. Your points balance can be viewed from the ☰ menu button in the top left-hand corner of the app. Once you've collected enough points you can redeem them for high street vouchers or donate to your favourite charity or community group (1,000 BetterPoints is equivalent to £1). BetterTickets are prize draw entries earned for doing a specific activity. Prizes can include pots of BetterPoints or specific things e.g. event tickets.

What can I spend my points on?

Check out our list of vouchers by tapping Rewards on the bottom navigation bar of the app. You can also give your points to your favourite charity or community group by tapping Donate Your BetterPoints.

What type of activity counts?

All recorded activities that start or finish within Buckinghamshire will count towards the challenge.

Can I take part if I am in a wheelchair or mobility scooter, and if so, how do I record my journeys?

Yes! All kinds of wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be recorded as 'wheeling' in the app. If you select automatic tracking, the app will automatically record your journey. Due to the motion sensors inbuilt in your device, and the algorithms in the app, it may assume you are cycling, rather than using a wheelchair or mobility scooter. In your Timeline, after completing your journey you will be able to amend this to wheeling and your journey will be updated. This can be done at any time up until midnight on the day the activities are tracked.
