Wycombe Wanderers Foundation has a thriving programme of activities in the community. Promoting health and well-being is one of their four strategic aims. As part of the BetterPoints Bucks challenge, you can boost your points by attending the events below in person.

Bump and Beyond

These sessions are designed to empower women to stay active during pregnancy and after birth, with elements of how to exercise with your baby as they grow. 

There are two sessions running every Thursday at Wycombe Air Park:

9:30-10:30 am – prenatal (pregnant mums) 

10:30-11:30 am – postnatal exercise with baby (in arms)

The Lightbulb Cafe

The Lightbulb Café is a dementia-friendly initiative, dedicated to supporting individuals in the early to mid-stages of dementia and their carers.

Held monthly at Monty’s Lounge, the Lightbulb Café uses Wycombe Wanderers’ memorabilia and memory boxes from Wycombe Museum to spark personal memories and stimulate the senses.

While individuals with dementia participate in structured sessions, their carers have the opportunity to connect with others in similar situations, consult healthcare professionals, and take part in mindfulness exercises, giving them a well-deserved break, reducing isolation and offering valuable support.

The sessions are monthly, on the first Wednesday of every month from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at Monty’s Lounge.

Strictly No More Falls

‘Strictly No More Falls’ is a great session designed for over 60s looking to stay active, have fun, and meet new friends.

The sessions will also help you improve your strength, balance and coordination - all while enjoying the joy of dance. After the dance session, relax and chat with new friends over a delicious lunch provided by the Wycombe Wanderers Foundation.

Sessions are held weekly on Wednesdays, 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Hughenden Gardens Village, HP13 5GD

Wellbeing Walk

The Keep Moving Forward Wellbeing Walk gives participants the opportunity to meet a friendly group of people who are all on a recovery journey. The walk helps to keep people active, whilst walking and talking with people who can support them. It is a very relaxed environment and we even stop for a free drink on the way around. 

The Wellbeing Walk takes place every Tuesday from 11 am – 1 pm and begins at the Wycombe Lido, just by the car park a little way up from the tennis courts.

Walking Football

The all-inclusive Walking Football sessions seek to give people (usually aged 50+) who are no longer willing or able to play football at a faster pace the opportunity to still participate, and are all based around fun, enjoyment, socialising and staying active and healthy.
